Fireplace revamp

hello, can anyone recommend what to use to clean up this old black fireplace? Thanks in advance

Assuming that is emulsion spilt on it, warm soapy water to clean and then stove black once it is all dry to restore the finish

Hotspot Stove & Grate Polish - 75ml

A Matt black water-based polish. After drying, it can be polished to a rich dull black. Stove and Grate Polish will not smear or rub off on hands when dry. Apply sparingly.

Other vendors are of course available but weirdly B&Q is one of the cheapest

If the stains are stubborn you can get stuck in with wire wool or whatever as the stove black does a good job of hiding blemishes

Meths is good for softening and dissolving emulsion paint

Already much better after cleaning with soapy water. I’ll use the black stove as recommended next. Thank you all
