Getting Plastered With Friends!

This was the fun bit. Getting the cement off the walls wasn't so much fun. My first SDS drill broke, and the next one only lasted half a minute. I've now got a decent one rather than a cheapie, but one of the cheap chisels I bought broke, and the other doesn't even fit the chuck! So I've learned to buy decent drills and chisels!

Puzzled how it was "dry" in a day and then limewashed? I try and keep mine damp for weeks so it sets rather than dries.

It was dry enough to limewash, but it's still not completely set. It needs a few more coats of limewash.

Before and after pictures to whet your appetite. Before the before picture, it was hidden behind a thick layer of cement and boring flat plaster, that hid all sorts of botched jobs! It's a stone house, despite all the bricks!

Must be your eyesight :lol:.

I've got to fit new firebricks and do a few other jobs to it before I can use it, so may get the spirit level out while I'm at it!
