We stripped out an en suite bathroom that has two external granite walls (photo). We took one external wall back to the granite stone, the other wall is lime or concrete render - it merges into the ceiling, which possibly could be the original lime (does it last about 200 years?) because it has the lathe and plaster under it.
I would like to lime render the external walls but concerned about condensation. They'll be an extractor fan and velux window, so good ventilation.
Also, the shower area will include part of an external wall, which we are not sure what to cover with (breathable and waterproof...) - any suggestions (other than a plastic shower unit
)?
Thank you
