Hi all,
Hope you all had a good Christmas!
Appreciate this has been asked no doubt countless times but I couldn’t quite find a definitive answer (I think!)
We’ve had a full house rewire to our solid brick house. On the exterior walls, I’m guessing I need to use a lime based ‘filler’ to fill in the chases? Can you guide me to the most appropriate? The chases go back to the brick and there are some situations where I can see a timber lintel running past.
Our porch also sets into the house, and we have a chase on the internal end side of the porch side wall. Given it’s a porch, and should be fairly covered from the rain, do you think I still need to go lime based or do you think Gypsum Bonding for ease would do the trick here?
I’m totally new to the lime based products but trying my best to learn as much as I can before doing anything wrong. So if lime based is the way to go, can let me know the required mix or product
Many thanks in advance!
