Hi all,
I am moving onto my kitchen. The walls are gypsum plaster by the pervious owner and painted. They’re in good condition. No damp issues. We had some chasing because of some new electrical wiring and we patched this up. It’s all ready to be painted on - all the walls.
It’s currently a yellowing off-white and we will be going with white kitchen walls (if’s a NW facing kitchen too). Lots of windows.
We’ve cleaned the walls thoroughly with sugar soap and let it dry for a few days too.
We are on a budget so farrow and ball and the like arent options, but since i used dulux’s cheapo non-trade matt emulsion white paint in my bedroom, I realised I should go for something a bit better. Thanks all for helping me with that rookie mistake!
Plus, because it’s the kitchen I want to make sure it is a good quality kitchen paint.
I’ve narrowed my options down to the following (photos attached) - dulux trade white matt emulsion (it says it’s suitable for kitchens), or the dulux easy care (non-trade).
Do you all have a preference out of the two? (They’re within my budget). And any tips for painting kitchens? We cook a lot including rice and pasta and have a 60L extractor fan in there.
Thanks for your help!
