The recent cold weather has prompted me to look at acrylic secondary glazing, discretely screwed to the frames of our sash windows. I've had quotes for 2mm and 4mm, with a difference in price of about £100. Is it worth getting the thicker acrylic for better insulation properties, or is it the draught reduction which does the trick, in which case 2mm should suffice. (The glass in the windows is very thin, and has the insulation properties of an ice cube)
Any suggestions welcome.
