Insurance recommendations for listed building over million rebuild

Hi,
We’re due to exchange on a grade 2 listed detached timber frame house this week and need to put insurance in place.
I can’t seem to calculate rebuild cost online as it’s “unusual” or too big (400 sq m) but the broker I spoke to had a issue with insuring over a million rebuild cost, which I think it would be closer to 1.5 million (have asked our surveyor for estimate)
Does anyone have any recommendations for brokers or insurers that insure listed buildings over million rebuild cost?

Search the forum, there’s a few recent threads on this lately, including all you need - rebuild valuation options, brokers, opinions for/against insurance etc…

I tried searching but couldn’t find any specific brokers/companies. We have rebuild evaluation and def need the insurance. Will search again in case I’m missing recommendations there thanks

I’ll drop you a note with our brokers details, as he’s been incredible on this project and a previous aborted purchase which was frankly a liability, but he still managed to find an option before we pulled out.

Surveyors aren’t the ones to value. Rebuildcostassesment is the go to, they also have liability for the shortfall if the worst happened and the value was underinsured.

The insurance market is struggling, so they are playing their financial game accordingly.
