The first issue, no doubt of many to come, in our newly purchased house G2 listed 16th century built house. There appears to be a leak coming through the wood beam on the first floor. It's not a trickle but I can feel the water. And obviously you can see the staining on the wall and water marks on the carpet.
Unsure how it was missed off the survey. It was however raining cats and dogs yesterday so it may be a one off (he says knowing he is kidding himself).
It doesn't seem to be coming from the celling, and the space above is fine. There seems to be a bell of some sort that's been installed, which we will get removed, and a lamp plug which we will need to get replaced anyway.
Thoughts appreciated before I get someone to look at it and they suggest/ do something which we regret later.
