I know this is not strictly a period property question although it is related to my property.
I'm currently in 2 minds whether to have a combi boiler or a system boiler with unvented cylinder fitted to my house. I am edging towards having the system boiler with cylinder however the water flow coming into my house is very low (12 litres per minute) which sort of defies the point of having that system.
From my mains stop cock/meter to my house is a distance of around 35 meters and it is 15mm copper all the way.
Does anybody know of a calculation or theory to determine the flow rate if I changed the 15mm copper to 25mm plastic?
I had always planned to do this anyway further down the line but if there isn't significant flow/pressure in the water main then I would just be better off with going with the combi boiler.
Thanks, Craig
