Hello!
Long time lurker, first time poster. Thank you everyone for helping me maintain my sanity in my lovely but dramatic Edwardian house.
I was digging out a rotten sill to replace before winter and came across this root like fungus beneath the rotten sill and extended up the sides behind the window frame. Fairly loose, honestly just like new roots of herb seedlings.
Am I right in thinking this is mine rot as it’s such a vivid white?
Can I just remove affected timber, treat and repair. Or is this fungus going to cause me more woes?
