We found this old, really shabby elm door on Ebay.
It was too small so we created an oak frame to match and make it fit.
It had big wide gaps between the planks so with an old piece of elm board, my Husband made some fancy gap fillers with his router to match the surround and an escutcheon for the keyhole.
It was then stained and waxed with my fair hands.
Then I decided it would be a really good idea to make it slide out of the way, as needed, to let in the light. My Husband said "no, I will do anything, but I won't do that" :lol: :lol: .Anyway here it is. Hope you like it :
