Hi all. I am a tiler looking for some advice on the options for overtiling a floor in a Georgian property. The customer would like use new limestone/travertine to cover the existing floor. It is currently a mixture of old flags and terracotta tiles. Some areas have been previously covered lino/laminate, which are it be removed. With presumed no DPC, I am thinking there could potentially be moisture and breathability issues down the line if I were to use levelling compound and then over tile?
Could anyone advise the best preparation for this work or maybe point me in the direction of someone who could spec the job?
