Fair enough, you may be right. Painting isn't as easy as everyone thinks, even professionals experience ghosting, Farrow & Ball emulsion has a reputation for that. Its just I've always thought you'd have to go pretty hardcore to mess up standard emulsion, even at the cheaper end.I don't think it's the paint (white emulsion, on the cheaper end), I think it's our technique. I realised i am not loading my roller properly with the paint. I kinda dip once then try and remove all the excess. When I started loaded it and only getting rid of some of the excess, it was so much easier to glide across the wall. Like this guy:
Neither of us are good at painting it seems. But maybe a better quality paint would have made the difference. I guess i'll find out when we do the living room - I'll make sure to buy something better quality.
