A alanr99 Member Messages 2 Location Blackburn Aug 4, 2025 #22 Hi, first time post but lurked for about a year. So I've been limewashing our plaster walls on our house, the underlying structure is sandstone. However for one room we have just used tikkurila paint, to be precise the tikkurila Optiva primer, and tikkurila "Colour" top coat. I wanted to see if this works or not. tikkurila say it is suitable for lime plaster and it has some weird polish ISO numbers for breathability. Time will tell. The SD values are very low, the price is reasonable, and the paint goes on amazingly well. I have bigger problems with a latex whitewash outside that I'm thinking of removing, but that's a seperate thread.
