So, this is the red brick Victorian abode that is Feltwell Towers:-
Pictures make it look bigger than it is, and only half of is mine!
My half has an ugly but functional tarmac drive up the side - which I confess I put in, all I could afford at the time, and have regretted since. It always looks grubby, goes green in places and suffers with moss.
At the back of the house is the world's worst patio - badly built with cheap grey concrete slabs, with steps down to the garden.
Having now got through the worst of external building work, patio & steps replacement is on the cards - and possibly the driveway as well.
What paving do folks reckon would go with my house? For the patio & steps, I've been warned off stone-effect concrete slabs, even the pricey stuff, I'm told it goes grubby and is hard to clean. For the driveway, it has to be able to take the weight of a 4 ton motorhome - I'm thinking variable size brick paviours perhaps?
Definitely want a traditional look more than contemporary, but also has to be practical and not too slippy.
