Having removed the tanking from behind our newly demolished inner blockwork wall we were surprised to reveal wallpaper.
Most of the wallpaper was very wet, mouldy and somewhat rotten but the original colours were still apparent and the borders appear possibly hand coloured.
We wondered how old these are likely to be, we believe the tanking etc was put up in 1976 so it obviously redates that but would anyone have any idea how old it might be?
In one room the paper is a light golden colour with 'pearlescent' patterns that reflect the light with a 3 inch narrow border under what I guess was previously a dado rail.

In the other room was an orange 'woven' paper with a border of leaves with very 'pixelated' edges, again possibly hand painted as below:

If there are any wallpaper experts out there we would be interested to know how old these are likely to be and any other info anyone might be able to add!
