Aerosol brake or carburettor cleaner - available from any auto parts shop - shifts the vast majority of marks on pretty much anything I find, with a bit of elbow grease.  It's a fairly volatile organic solvent of some kind, so I would really only use it if what you've got there is plain uncoated glass.
If it's got any kind of coating on it - or you're in doubt - speak to the supplier first!!

 no offence intended, it was just that the exposed rafter ends reminded me of those rather elegant Victorian railway station canopies.  I realise they won't be visible in the finished works.
