Could the powers that be please click whatever buttons they need to click such that the website and forum is re-certified as "safe". At the moment my browser doesn't want to let me in here, and it will be the same for others, no doubt.
thank you for flagging this issue up. Currently, we are experiencing issues accessing the website and some PPUK associated emails. This matter is being dealt with but I don't have a time as yet when it will be resolved.
Thanks Rob, I follow a saved link direct to the forum index. Firefox notes the site is 'not secure' (by the exclamation mark on the padlock symbol). Firefox only seriously panicked when I tried to login for some reason . Once I've clicked to accept the mortal peril I'm in I seem able to carry on as normal.
Hope this helps a bit
Andy
Route doesn't make any difference for me - email notification / bookmark / refreshing an open tab. Nor does browser type or device. All give the same response that the cert expired yesterday.
The browser-generated warnings of doom may be annoying but is it really such a big deal if our connections are ‘not secure’? It’s not as if we’re all posting our innermost secrets is it? Besides, it’s a public forum anyway, so anyone can already read what we post without resorting to fancy hacking.
I’m sure Rob and the team are on the case but meanwhile keep calm and carry on.
looks like the encryption certificate expired yesterday, hence the "not secure" messages.
to be honest "not secure" is not really a problem for me, for this forum, but the hassle factor of clicking through many warnings will put a number of people off.
Whoever runs the forum could consider looking at the free "letsencrypt" certificates, if the webhost allows such option, rather than the trauma of stumping up 50 to 150 quid a year for a "commercial" certificate.
My home PC won't let me on at all if the certificate has expired. My works PC does so with a warning. Oops, just given away that I should be working right now..
I am not getting the error, maybe it’s the Russians medaling with the net there in Britain , they aren’t interested in Canada,we have no influence in the world.
