I had the outside of the house repainted a year or so ago.
The old sills needed some repair, as did some of the quoins, which the gent seemed confident to do - and to be fair it looked, and still looks, great (see photos below for before and after)
However, tidying up the garage, I am pretty sure the filler he used was "Toupret Masonry Repair Filler"
This seems to be a cement based filler - how concerned should I be? It seems to be very much frowned on as a method for repairing bath stone....though at a purely practical level it currently looks fine, and I'm not sure what I could do about it at this stage!
