RE: Wall panelling

Advice please - Looking at buying a grade ii* listed house, the house has wood panelling on the walls in of the rooms. Can these be painted over, I will use a special paint and we won't change any of the detailing on them just want to change the color.

2* is quite an important house. I'd expect you'd need to get the permission of the conservation officer first, particularly if they are of historical significance. If it is allowed, they will determine what colour and what paint will need to be used.

I'd say no. If grade 2* listed it's a historically significant house. What age is it?
