Ugh, what an awful experience you had! Have you tried speaking with them? I called them about the £30k for boundaries and explained that I actually have no boundary responsibilities so they reduced that element without a quibble. I also supplied a floor plan of my cottage when I ordered the report and I marked on it which parts were old and which were new, so the measurements for both were okay.
