Hello
We're nearly finished with our renovation project, all internal walls have been skimmed with gypsum and all exterior walls have been built up to wood wool ( red brick > rough lime coat > 60mm woodfibre bats > vapour control layer > wood wool) .
I'm now looking to get the last walls plastered and I'm getting mixed messages in how to finish.
I've had some friends use BreathAplasta Universal Bio-Based Plaster in 2 passes with a 5mm mesh in the first pass. This seems the most simple method that my plasterers will probably prefer.
Mike Wye recommended an Isovit lime in 2 stages with a mesh lightly imbedded in the first pass after applying with a notch trowel, then a finish coat with a Reabilita Cal AC FINO lime coat.
Maybe its a case of 6 of one and half a dozen of the other but it would be great to hear what others have used and if they were happy with the results or if they have any tips.
So glad to be getting to the end of this 1.5 year reno its been a blast!
