Revenge... eating 'weeds'.

Just had a meal of faggots accompanied by boiled ground elder.
I imagine this is not the sort of meal one would find being consumed by those who 'can't afford healthy eating'... anyway, putting that hobbyhorse back in the stable.... earlier this year we had the normal new season's nettles. Also had dandelion of course, and this year we tried Sticky Willy, but it's rather tasteless and stringy.
It adds a certain spice to take one's revenge on weeds in this way... What other 'weeds' have members eaten? And would you repeat the experience?

It was many years ago at a friends house , we ran out of bakky so had some on a Pizza, didnt do much , just made me feel sleepy.

I'd like to know whether the boiler ground elder tasted good because I have a garden full of the stuff? I have often thought about eating it but had heard it was bitter.

It tastes not unlike Spring Greens. Only eaten it hot, probably tough raw. As with nettles, the young growth is best.
I think most people who like green vegetables would enjoy it with a little butter, provided they weren't prejudiced by knowing what they were eating.
