Hello,
First post here! Just bought a Victorian flat doer upper. It has various damp issues but when I moved in I noticed a damp patch I hadn't seen before. The damp specialist I had here said that he thought I had a leak from an old lead pipe - a hidden one as all our water mains are copper pipes. I got a leak engineer round and he thinks the same - thing is there is no stop valve, so nowhere to turn it off. We have been in touch with the local water board who were not very helpful (or speedy) and who are saying that because the pipe is on our property then our problem. Has anyone had this experience?
