Hi,
I’m in the middle of renovating my sash windows. I don’t like the old sealant around the sash box - between the brick and sash box. I think it would look a lot neater to have a flush finish rather than a bead bridging the brick and sash. It’s a small gap.
I think a sticky silicone type like what’s there now would be incredibly messy to tool flush. I was thinking of glazing putty? Either original linseed stuff or some of the more modern ones that come in cartridges like evostick.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
