Hi there,
I am looking to restore soft pine floor in my Victorian house and I would be grateful for some advice before getting started.
The floor in question has a variety of gaps between planks, some very noticable, other 'can get away with' kind and some that do not need any filling and if I was to fill them I would have to enlarge the gaps first, I suspect.
I am thinking of filling some of the gaps (the first two types) with pine slivers, but I wonder whether that's something that is advisable - i.e. is it okay to fill only those that need filling? or shall I fill all or none at all? Any experienced floor restorers who could advise?
Thanks,
A
