Just waiting for LBC to go through so we can start the rollercoaster ride. Lidl this week have the Parkside infra red thermometer at £10. Seems to work well and can be calibrated.

Well...I suppose.... if you're going to stretch reality to that extent I can only suggest that maybe we're all on the periphery of a black hole and oddly analogous to our pockets. Spaghetti-fication anyone?
