Hello good people of this forum,
Please help! My bedroom is the at the rear of a ground floor flat in a London Victorian terraced house. The bedroom has very high humidity (80% overnight), even running dehumidifier all day i can only get it down to 60%. Last winter I had an outbreak of mould on the walls that I have sprayed with mould proof paint. I have asthma and allergies and as a result of humidity i've had constant sinusitis, so really trying to get to the root of this problem and solve it!
Given all the below information, what do you think needs to be done? I'm looking for a specialist who can come in and fix it, any suggestions?
Firstly, there is a hole at the base of the rear wall (see bottom left of photo attached) - Not sure if this used to be an air brick, but it's really deep, maybe 15-20cm. I noticed a lot of the skirting board was falling apart on the inside when i fitted a wardrobe a few months ago.

There's also an airvent at the base of the side passage wall (off right side of rear wall in photo).

A previous owner filled the room with concrete or scree, I believe in the 70s because the plug fittings date to back then (could tell from the cable colouring). Has this blocked the airflow and forced the moisture up into the walls?
Lastly, and I don't think it's related but I'm including just in case, there's a crack running up the wall from the old chimney stack. You can see the darkish patch of brickwork, the crack runs up the right side of that patch and then up directly above it towards the roof.

Any advice appreciated
Thanks so much,
George
