Yes, we’ve used non-woven wallpaper on ours. The only place I could find it is from a German company: www.wallpaperfromthe70s.com
I’m sure other places do it, but these guys specify that it’s non-woven and breathable and they let you filter based on that. I’ve ordered a few lots from them and like them. Only downside so far is that it’s expensive to send an unused rolls back to Germany!

I was looking for PVC-free paper for lime plaster and stopped by simple paper wallpaper: Erfurt Rauhfaser, Anaglypta Original and the Little Greene Traditional Papers range. All made of pure cellulose, breathable, well take the starch glue and do not pull moisture from the wall too sharply, which reduces the risk of spalling.
It's Volvox or Earthbourne wall paper paste, think they might be the same thing,different names.
Thanks for that, they are lovely. Thankfully only have a small room to paper but it would be very nice to have some.
