What internal door in a Victorian house?

Looking for some views on what door to put in this opening at the end of the hallway. Excuse the mess, bit of a work in progress!
Usually I know the default answer would be to go with a Victorian 4 panel style but it’s a very low doorway around 1800mm in height and to cut this much off the top and bottom of the door I think would make the proportions look all wrong. This was originally the rear exterior door before a utility room/toilet extension was added with its own partition wall I want to remove to open up the space.
Would a barn style solid oak door with iron fixtures look out of place do you think?

I think it would look fine if colours match what you have in the pic above. The pic above also suggests that Id prefer a good quality knob instead of a latch myself, not sure quite why, more victorianish perhaps?

Will you stain the door to match the existing wood or paint it to match the colour scheme?the colour looks so good id be tempted to paint it...

Interesting you mention the colour as it’s about to change. It was done less than a year ago but she’s decided the blue darkens an already dark hall too much and she’s never been completely happy with it against the floor colours. The blue against the tiles doesn’t fit she says. I just leave her to it ……..
Well…… other than having to empty that damned radiator for the 3rd time so she can paint the panelling behind which takes ages and I never manage to catch it all!

Have you considered having a 'small' 4 panel door custom made to fit the space, and thus keep the proportions correct?

It's a pretty straightforward joinery job so might not break the budget.

The door you've provided a link to is... ludicrously expensive for what it is. You can buy the same model in kit form from many suppliers for as little as half that price and the skill level and equipment needed to assemble and install one such is trivial. Some suppliers will also provide a 'fuming' service if that dark colour might appeal to you.

Buggeration - just learned the local outfit I've used for years has shut up shop. They were one of the few that would fume oak to order.
