The vinegar test isn't always accurate in my opinion. I tried it on some mortar that was original and it didn't fizz at all. I guess the test could prove mortar is lime but can't prove it's not.

Don't get me started on internal shutters I was all set to make them myself, or atleast have a go at them. I got told to not do it

Out of interest, why not? They look great.
