Hi All,
First post, so Hi everyone.
I have a house built in approx 1600 with heavily painted wooden beams, old brick flooring that has been abused with floor paint and bitumen type adhesive and a stone inglenook also painted black.
I am looking to have these areas cleaned by a calcium silicate stripping process. I have been quoted at ~£1k a day for this work. I know all houses are unique but I wanted to know if £1k per day for this sort of treatment is broadly a fair price? The contractor will clean up all mess from their treatment and remove all waste.
Happy to hear of realistic alternatives too, no way do i have the time to undertake this work myself so no need to suggest any DIY methods, unless you will be coming around to do it for me
Thanks,
