Hello, we have a stone cottage which has previously been rendered externally with concrete. 'As I understood it', the builder would install a bellcast bead to allow water drips to be directed away from the wall. On inspection however, it looks (based on my quick googling expertise) like its been installed upside down. Instead of water running down the render and then over a lip, I now have a plinth of render which is standing proud of the rest of the wall.
I spoke to the builder and he is convinced its right. He did give it another name which I've forgotten.
