I appreciate at present this is a hot topic for households generally, not just period properties and moving into our new (old) house just as energy prices have gone mad has exaggerated the issue somewhat.
But I’d be interested to hear other peoples experiences of older properties and energy bills.
Our period property is smaller than our last 60’s house, has a boiler that is 20 years younger but seems to have bills 3 times larger
Not just down to higher costs but higher usage. I could understand it during the winter but seems somewhat confusing in this balmy summer.
Do I need to investigate that there may be an issue somewhere?
